Two new Full Members have recently joined NESSI.

The Biomedical Research Institute (BRI) of the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH) hosts internationally recognised research teams working on biomedical and health informatics, intelligent information systems, medical data analytics, and AI-driven decision support. Through its Unit of Medical Technology and Intelligent Information Systems (MedLab), FORTH-BRI actively participates in numerous European research initiatives, developing innovative digital technologies for healthcare, precision medicine, and large-scale biomedical data processing.

IDENER is a Spanish Research and Technology Organisation (RTO) headquartered in Seville, Spain.With an interdisciplinary team of more than 100 engineers, scientists and software developers, Idener applies AI techniques conbining machine learning with systems modelling, control and optimisation. It participates in many EU-funded initiatives and acts as a bridge between cutting-edge AI research and real-world industrial adoption across sectors including energy, manufacturing, environment, security and critical infrastructure protection.

The addition of these new members provides great opportunities to develop new collaborative partnerships within NESSI, and to contribute to the application of innovative digital technologies to essential sectors in Europe.
