Preparations are underway to define the work programme of the Horizon Europe “Key Digital Technologies” (KDT) Partnership. Andreas Metzger represented NESSI in a workshop on “Software in ECS based digitisation” convened to define priorities for the first KDT call on software topics addressed by the ECS (Electronic Components and Systems) community.
The NESSI recommendations focused on three main areas along the entire software lifecycle (Dev-Ops-Adapt): (1) Increase in the degree of automation, (2) Continuous trust management as well as (3) AI and machine learning to handle complexity, dynamics, and uncertainty.
