NESSI Partners are working towards a human-centric trustworthiness assessment framework in the Horizon Europe FAITH project. The FAITH framework enables the testing, measuring and optimization of risks associated with AI trustworthiness in critical domains. FAITH builds upon NIST Artificial Intelligence Risk Management Framework (AI RMF), upon the requirements imposed by the EU AI Act, upon ENISA guidelines on how to achieve trustworthiness in AI systems by design, and upon stakeholder intelligence and user engagement. The FAITH framework is applied in seven large scale pilot activities in seven diverse critical domains (robotics, education, media, transportation, healthcare, active ageing, and industry) to yield a holistic evaluation of trustworthiness in AI systems.
