A core team of NESSI Partners are working together with domain experts in the Horizon Europe TELEMETRY project to automate cybersecurity testing for Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystems.
The IoT is bringing connectivity and networked intelligence to physical things around us, forming highly distributed and complex ecosystems with hardware, software, services and backbone network communication infrastructure to support the required system functionality.
In TELEMETRY, trustworthy tools, techniques and holistic methodologies for cybersecurity testing and vulnerability detection are being researched and developed. This will enable continuous assessment of IoT ecosystems over their whole lifecycle, supporting the propagation of assurance from component developers, system integrators and operators to end users. The requirements, validation and evaluation are being driven by three exemplar IoT ecosystem use cases, in aerospace, manufacturing and telecommunications.
